James Traver, President

Jim Traver founded The Corporate STAR Program in 2002 to provide corporations with a unique alternative to corporate education and experiential learning. Jim has over 30 years of organization development and human resource experience. He has worked with large and small organizations in a variety of industries and much of that time was spent helping organizations understand and adapt to changing customer and regulatory requirements. His extensive body of work has focused on helping clients clarify performance and training needs and recommending and providing effective solutions to meet these needs.

He received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Business Administration/Psychology from the University of Toledo and a Masters of Business Administration also from the University of Toledo.

John Broer, Vice President

John Broer joined The Corporate STAR Program in 2004 bringing over 15 years of corporate training and facilitation skills. John’s areas of focus include sales, sales management, executive development and interactive adult learning. He has experience as a consultant and contract training development specialist for organizations of all sizes. Prior to starting his own private consulting practice, John was a sales executive in the steel and chemical industries.

John received his Bachelors degree in Speech Communication and Organizational Development from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and was also recognized as the Top Speaker and National Champion in Persuasive Speaking by the National Forensics Society in 1985.
